God of War: Ragnarök, all that you need to know

God of War Ragnarök is an action-adventure video game series based on Greek mythology, with hack and slash and beat-them-up elements. The series centers on the protagonist, Kratos. the first release of God of War it was on March 22, 2005, for the PlayStation2 platform.

The story

“After an eternity of warmth and happiness, the earth will be destroyed by water, and from its ash. New earth shall arise fertile and beautiful. But first, there must come a period of darkness and cold. The wolf who devoured the sun will swallow her daughter, the moon, and she in turn will descend into the void to be eaten by her husband. The stars will disappear from the sky. Then Dense clouds will pour out over Jotunheim (a land which is covered with as much darkness as ice) until all life is extinguished.”

After Ragnarök’s death that all life will return to chaos. However, it was foretold that one day Chaos would give birth again to creation in a different form. Where the order was.

Ragnarök, also known as the Twilight of the Gods, is a major event first prophesied by the Jötunn Gróa that foresees the ultimate battle that results in the death of many gods, including Odin and Thor, as well as the “rebirth” of the world through submersion into water. Kratos and Atreus are also mentioned in the prophecy, as being the center of everything.
